Luton – Kioso – Keep Or Loan

It is not long now until the summer transfer window slams shut, and some difficult decisions need to be taken.

Several members of the current Luton squad will be pondering whether they will remain at Kenilworth Road this season or whether they will, to get regular football, be loaned to other clubs.

One player who spent time out on loan last season is Peter Kioso.

Kioso spent successful spells on loan at Bolton Wanderers and then Northampton Town with the talented young defender scoring on 3 occasions for both sides.

Yesterday, the young defender celebrated his 22nd birthday and, in my view, has reached a crossroads.

On Saturday against West Bromwich Albion, Kioso came on as a 74th minute substitute, earning some valuable match minutes.

But, if everybody was fit and available, would Kioso have gotten that same opportunity?

Which brings me around to my big question.

If you were Nathan Jones, would you keep Kioso at Kenilworth Road and give him the chance to make that vial breakthrough or would you let him have one more season out on loan?

What Should Luton Do With Kioso?

Keep Him!

Keep Him!

Loan Him!

Loan Him!

On this myself an Alan have always agreed he shouldn’t have been loaned out last year so no keep him I’m sure he’s going to get his chance this season

  • Alan says:

    Keep….100%

Why not start him on Tuesday see how he gets on , it would get NJ a better idea as to how well he plays as to weather to keep him or sent him out again but you have to give him the chance first as he is at the age he will want first team football now .

get him in the team now. watched him a few times last season, reminded me of james justin. can overlap and play through the middle. regarding saturday, the weak link was ruddock. he is supposed to be a different player this season, scoring a goal can’t make up for his terrible play up to clarks injury. he is the lynch pin for the successful left hand side, played awful. i think osho should replace him, keep him for a sub. when the defence gets sorted i hope sluga gets a bit more confidence, and performs like we know he can. i still believe this team will perform well. WBA are a class team, lucky they were’nt firing on all cylinders. we must pass the ball quicker, and more accurate. stop getting caught in possesion, its embarrasing, keep it simple,COYH.

Jimbo, I know you hate pelly, but Naismith had a mare on Saturday….slug was sluggish…bree looked like he couldn’t tackle a breakfast, leading up to the 3rd goal, so there were many weak links on Saturday I’m afraid……but I also think that with a full defence and I have said this many times I believe osho or Naismith could start before pelly in front of the back line…..

thanks alan for confirming that osho or naismith should start before ruddock. the defence i am sure will get better with the return of players. N.J. said that ruddock will get better, did you see a difference,i did’nt. i must repeat i do not hate ruddock, just his lack of performance. he is not skillful enough to play in championship.if he miraculously changes into this great player that people think he is,i still won’t hate ruddock. you have to perform week in ,week out,he can’t do that.COYH.
