Luton – It Is Looking Good For Saturday

Once again, Saturday is almost upon us, and it is time to look at what lies ahead for our beloved Luton Town Football Club.

This weekend the Hatters are faced with a trip to the north-west to take on Preston North End, at Deepdale.

Luton supporters making the trip north, in what could be very inclement weather, will be hoping that Nathan Jones can inspire his side to keep their unbeaten run going and consolidate the 5th position, in the Championship table, they currently occupy.

A quick glance at the form shows that Luton are, possibly, the favourites going into this fixture.

As I have previously mentioned, Luton are in 5th place in the table whereas Preston are floundering in 19th place.

Luton have amassed 21 points this season while Preston have a mere 15 points, when it comes to the last 5 games played, Luton’s record looks like thus – WDWDW (11 points out of a possible 15) while Preston’s record is DLDWL (5 points out of a possible 15).

That favourites tag is also reflected by our poll with 56% of those who voted opting for a Luton win and a further 36% going for a draw with just 36% of the belief Preston will win.

As for our regular look at how Sky Sports, resident Championship expert, David Prutton, reckons this one will go, Prutton is tipping Luton to win 1-0, a result I would certainly be happy to accept.

Hopefully, Luton will come out of the blocks all prepared and get straight at our opponents and set us all up for a decent weekend, even if the weather forecast might do its best to put the dampers on matters.
