Luton – Go Get This Charlton Striker
Transfer speculation, when it comes to the Hatters bringing in their third signing of the summer, is scarce this morning.
As a result, I thought I would revisit an article from last week – 3-possible-striker-signings – which contained a very pertinent poll question –

Our article put forward the inference that the three strikers suggested:
• Matt Smith (Millwall)
• Chuks Aneke (Charlton)
• Jamie Paterson (Bristol City)
may be in the frame to fill the striker void left by the departure of James Collins, who recently left Kenilworth Road to join Cardiff City.
But who out of the trio got your vote?
Without much further ado, it would appear you would like to see Chuks Aneke become a Hatter.
Perhaps the fact that Aneke was the highest scorer of the trio, with the 27-year-old netting 15 times last season.
However, while Aneke took 64% of the votes cast, there was also, through our comment facility, a lot of support for Matt Smith with many pointing out that the battering-ram of a striker could be the perfect experienced foil Elijah Adebayo needs.
Indeed, I must admit that Smith was my choice, whenever I have watched him, he always proves to be a handful for opposition defences.
Sadly, Jamie Paterson, who polled 9% of the votes cast, did not appear to put a smile on your faces.
Now whether Luton will go after Aneke remains to be seen and only time will tell.
