Before the kick-off, a Kenilworth Road, last night, I probably was not the only one who thought the result would be a win for Luton.
But it was not to be was it!
For some reason, the side selected contrived to throw away a good start and then produce the kind of lacklustre performance that produces howls of anguish.
Several times, last night, those howls brought a strange reaction from the onlooking wife who could not believe how agitated I was getting as the game ebbed more than flowed for the Hatters.
But it seems I was not the only supporter who was extremely disappointed with the fare served up by Nathan Jones side.
The social media is awash with comments from fans equally as frustrated as to what the Hatters produced with the below tweets perfect illustrations of the points made:
Shocking.

Honestly that was pathetic from us!

Once again losing to a very ordinary team. Awful performance .

Absolutely shocking tonight. Jones has to take the blame for this one. The system and the tactics were all wrong and the subs were used to late.

In no way, shape or form was that performance acceptable. Each player, NJ and staff need to have a proper debrief and understand what went wrong. We were shambolic from start to finish. Utterly painful.

Shocking performance. How many times did we give the ball away? Amateurish football at times. Some serious work to do on the training ground

It was bad, but I am not sure it was bad as the tweet below suggests, or was it?
Worst performance yet ๐
