Luton Duo Called Up For Welsh Squad

After the away game against Preston North End, this Saturday, Luton do not play again until they travel to take on Wayne Rooney’s Derby County on 2nd April.

With Luton Town, like most other clubs, having played a plethora of games in such a short period of time, it seems strange everything should, at a crucial time of the season, come to a grinding halt.

But never underestimate the power of international football!

It transpires we are about to suffer the banality of another international break.

Now I am not a fan of international football, but it would be churlish of me not to congratulate two of our squad, Tom Lockyer and Joe Morrell who have been called into the Welsh squad.

Wales, during this international break, will play:

• March 24th – Belgium (a)
• March 27th – Mexico (h)
• March 30th – Czech Republic (h)

Both players have been called up for international duty despite not featuring recently.

Morrell has only started two Championship matches this year while Lockyer has missed six games courtesy of an injury.

Let us hope that with such a hectic schedule, neither pick up any injuries that could hamper their selection for the forthcoming Luton Town fixtures.
