Before the Hatters Championship campaign had been so rudely interrupted by the ongoing pandemic, James Shea had taken over the role between the posts.
But, ahead of the FA Cup clash with Harrogate Town, I could not help wondering whether Nathan Jones would decide to give our record signing, Simon Sluga, another chance.
But, as it turned out, that was not the case with Shea not only being given the nod but also producing some smart saves to preserve the clean sheet in a competent 4-0 victory.
Shea’s performance was noted by those that frequent social media and the keeper who had been out in the cold for so long, picked up some very complimentary posts:
2 great saves there at the end

Luton – An Air Of Disappointment
Best keeper we have on the books it’s good that he has been given his chance this season, Hames has been on the bench for ever he has always been loyal to our great club.
Shea has esrned his place in the team always rated him he is are best keeper hope he gets the game time now we look much more secure at the back this is no disrespect to Sluga who is prone to the odd mistake like all players
