Speculation had been gaining momentum in recent days that Luton Town were close to announcing their eighth signing of what has been a unique transfer window.

Today that announcement has been forthcoming with the official site – LutonTown FC – confirming that Luton have signed, from Leicester City, Admiral Muskwe.

Muskwe, 22-years-of-age, is a forward and has been signed for that familiar term, an undisclosed fee.

But what do we know about the youngster?

For starters Admiral is a Zimbabwe international having gained 4 caps so far after switching allegiances after making 4 appearances for the U17 England side.

He has yet to make a Premier League appearance for Leicester City but has spent time on loan with Swindon Town and more latterly with Wycombe Wanderers for whom he made 13 league appearances last season scoring on 3 occasions.

One of those appearances for Wycombe saw him play the majority of the game against Luton, in April, but I cannot say he made an impression on me.

Can you recall how he played that day?

It remains to be seen whether Admiral can establish himself in the first team, especially with the hot competition for places in the striking positions, or is he another for the future as far as Nathan Jones is concerned.

Here at Vital Luton Town, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome Admiral Muskwe to Kenilworth Road and we hope his stay is a long and successful one.
