Returning to the EFL awards that took place at the Grosvenor Hotel, in London, on Sunday evening, one thing did leave me slightly disappointed.
Whilst I was delighted that Nathan Jones won the ‘Manager of the Year’ award, something we covered yesterday – luton-boss-scoops-top-award – it would have been nice to see the inclusion of at least one member of our squad in the Championship team of the season, which was selected as thus:
Team: Lee Nicholls (Huddersfield Town), Joe Worrall (Nottingham Forest), Lloyd Kelly (Bournemouth), Tosin Adarabioyo (Fulham), Djed Spence (Nottingham Forest), Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Philip Billing (Bournemouth), Ryan Yates (Nottingham Forest), Harry Wilson (Fulham), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham), Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth)
I was kind of hoping to see the name of Kal Naismith somewhere in that XI but I’m guessing, competition was fierce.

Morning mh, can’t say to much but a new keeper could be with us by the end of the week.

I’m more than happy that no Luton players made it into the Championship Team of the Season. I’m disappointed that Nathan was awarded Championship Manager of the season (although he fully deserves it, especially with a squad that has no players in the Championship Team etc). I’m more than happy with the ‘little Luton’ and #teamslikeluton tags.
