Touchline confrontations, between managers of different sides, are becoming all the rage now, it would seem.

It only seems like yesterday that Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte, during and after the Chelsea v Spurs game, treated us to the best bust-up since Arsene Wenger and Alan Pardew went head-to-head.

Last night, just as the final whistle blew confirming the Hatters had taken all three points in their clash with Cardiff City, it looked as if Nathan Jones and Steve Morison were set to come to blows, with Nathan, seemingly, offending the Cardiff boss with his celebratory actions.

Thankfully, nothing much came of it, but, as the BBC points out, Nathan felt obliged to apologise for his actions, with our source reporting that Nathan remarked:

“I’m a passionate guy, sometimes I get carried away, so if I offended anyone I apologise.

“I don’t mean to do that, I’m just passionate about my football club and what we do.

“Maybe I shouldn’t have, but I apologise and it wasn’t meant in any malice.

“It was literally five or six seconds after the final whistle when I was emotional.

“Sometimes these things happen, me and Steve Morison have never had a conversation.

“But we’ll speak now, we’ll have a drink now and if there are any issues we’ll deal with them then.”

That’s all very well, but if they had come to blows, would the good little-un have beaten the big-un?

I guess we’ll never know!
