Late Luton Goal Sends Support Into Raptures As Cardiff Are Beaten

Last night was a case of trying to concentrate on two things at once.

Now those of you who know me will acknowledge keeping focussed on one thing can be a problem.

But, with the Hatters in action and it also being transfer deadline day, my mind couldn’t help but wander.

Thankfully, Luton Town prevailed in their home clash with Cardiff City, despite making things hard for themselves.

After a tense first half, where a shot from Cardiff’s Robinson, left the bar shaking, the Hatters had the perfect chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty.

With, prior to this game, Adebayo having scored 4 goals in 4 games, I’d have had a hefty wager on the striker scoring, unfortunately, Adebayo fluffed his lines and Allsop, in the Cardiff goal, made a comfortable save.

But, just as if it looked as if the game was to end 0-0, Adebayo stepped up and scored one of his, now becoming legendary, late goals, with the net bustling the roof almost lifted off of Kenilworth Road.

The late winner lifted Luton up to 4th place in the EFL Championship table and they still have a game in hand over most of their play-off rivals.

It’s no wonder that those who frequent social media were buoyant, after the game:

It may not have been an entertaining classic but it had us on the edge of our seats until the final whistle came.

But, back to the dream:

Yes, why not!

With society struggling courtesy of inflation, the high cost of living and a multitude of strikes, we all need something to keep that smile on our faces and dreaming of promotion does just that.

Hi all. Cardiff mouthed off at adey when he missed his pen, but couldn’t handle the same treatment when adey responded when he scored…..give it out, you’ve got to be able to take it….
