On the back of successive wins, Luton Town moved back into promotion contention with a decent win over Kidderminster Harriers at the Aggborough Stadium this afternoon.

Having lost two on the trot to slip from top to ninth, Gary Brabin will be hoping that, following the second of these two wins, the promotion charge is back on track.

With Brabin having organised a friendly with St Neots to give some of those coming back from injury a chance to get some much-needed match fitness, George Pilkington and Shane Blackett both made their comebacks as Brabin made two changes to the side that had thumped Barrow 5-1 last time out.

Stuart Fleetwood though, who`d pulled out last weekend through illness, had to make do with a place on the bench.

However, for the second match in succession it was Robbie Willmott who was to provide the goals to give Luton all three points.

The first of his brace, making it three in two games, came as half time approached, the thirty-ninth minute to be precise, when Morgan-Smith lost his marker and squared for Willmott to easily side-foot past the Kidderminster keeper, Dean Lyness.

Although the Hatters were on top, the danger was always there that Kidderminster could get back into the game and that danger was there until the eighty second minute when Willmott got his second of the game.

This time Willmott, through another assist from Morgan-Smith, jumped to head home a cross. The Hatters were now, or so we thought, home and dry.

But there was, with three minutes left, still time for a few heart palpitations when Tom Sharpe threw Kidderminster a lifeline when he fired in from close range.

Thankfully, Luton weathered those last few minutes, plus the allocated stoppage time, to leap over Kidderminster in the BSB Premier table.
