With Gateshead routed and table-topping Wrexham on the way, Gary Brabin is doing his best not to get too emotional about things.
Yesterday, against Gateshead, Luton really clicked into top gear but Brabin is keeping his feet firmly on the ground remarking to the local media,
“I try not to get too excited when we win games and try not to get too despondent when we lose them.”
“It`s a fantastic score-line, a fantastic performance and I believe we are going in the right direction, but we can`t get too carried away at the moment.”
“It`s a long season – we`re going to have some disappointing results and performances between now and the end of the season.”
“But as long as we achieve our goal of promotion, which I`m confident of, and we get that consistency then the performances will come.”
“Gateshead are a good side, we knew they`d be difficult and they started quite brightly.”
“It was difficult for us, having to change so early in the game, but I thought the lads responded brilliantly and I thought we thoroughly deserved the three points.”
We certainly did and Wrexham, on Tuesday, can`t come quick enough.
