It’s All Very Well But Could You As A Luton Supporter Guarantee To Comply 100%

|

With COVID-19 pandemic restrictions slowly being lifted, although I fear is that they are as a result of the economic situation the country finds itself in, speculation has arisen that suggests supporters could soon be let back into grounds, but in limited numbers.

The article I read implied that grounds would only be allowed to be filled to 25% capacity, which in itself would create problems for those clubs who have in excess of that percentage of their capacity as season ticket holders. Like Luton.

But if spectators are to be let back into grounds, there have been several suggestions made relating to the way forward.

Some of these are based on common sense, namely:

1 – Operating a one-way system inside the ground, just like shops are currently doing.

And

2 – The provision of sanitising stations at multiple locations inside the ground.

Now, I’m sure that the majority would have no problem complying with the above.

But another suggestion isn’t so straight forward.

It’s being hinted that spectators will be asked to refrain from cheering and singing with the inference that the virus would be spread if fans do choose to behave vociferously.

Now I’m not sure the above is possible.

Imagine the scenario of a last-minute winner bulging the Watford net, could you really keep quiet?

I’m guessing not.

But what are your views on the above subject matter, can you see it happening?

Please feel free to drop your viewpoint into the comment facility beneath this article.

Cannot wait to resume my seat but not the aching knees.

Regarding your post, I would not mind vacating my seat for the opportunity to see the Hatters match home and possibly away via iplayer without additional charge as a consequence; that is until covid-19 is controlled satisfactory, being an elderly citizen.

Personally, I think it will be a long time before I feel it’s “safe” to be part of a Kenilworth Road crowd- probably not at all this coming season. We’ll just have to all wait and hope about what the coming autumn and winter will bring

It’s a strange one, but if you can sit in a pub or restaurant with many other people, or go to work in a factory or office etc, would sitting in an outside venue, perhaps wearing a mask be that bad…..
