It was always going to require something special in my opinion.
When a non-league club, such as ours, is linked with the possible signing of an out-of-contract player who is also interesting several league clubs then it is always going to be an outside chance of success, despite our unique situation where we`re a sleeping Football League club.
Therefore, learning that the French right-back, Thierry Audel had opted to sign for Crewe Alexandra didn`t really surprise me!
