With a plethora of players having already been recruited by John Still, it appears another could be on the way.

Speculation, last week, inferred that Luton Town might be interested in bringing the French defender Thierry Audel to Kenilworth Road.

Audel, out of contract at Macclesfield, is attracting interest from Port Vale, Notts County and Crew, as well as the Hatters and if Luton were to lure the 26 year-old six foot plus defender to Kenilworth Road, it would represent quite a coup.

Still, soon to return from a family holiday, has admitted interest in the player whilst our managing director, Gary Sweet, is quoted, in the local media, as remarking about the defender,

“We had him on trial for a few days last year and he went to Macclesfield where he has done all right and I know Thierry very well.”

We`ll keep our ears to the ground on this one then!
