Yesterday was a strange day for Hatters supporters.

For the first time in what seems like an age, the Hatters were not in action.

However, several of our promotion rivals were and, on the whole, things didn`t turn out too bad for Luton Town Football Club.

When it comes to our promotion rivals, Wycombe Wanderers continued their recent fine form with a 2-0 win at Cheltenham, who are Luton`s next opponents.

However, Accrington Stanley dropped two points only managing a 1-1 draw at Barnet, who occupy the bottom place in the League Two table.

Mansfield, who now sit in fourth place in the table, won 1-0 away to Exeter, whilst Notts County, who have slipped down the table in recent weeks to fifth, drew 0-0 away to Newport.

Swindon, who are in sixth place, courtesy of a late-winner, beat Port Vale 3-2 at the County Ground.

Lincoln City, who occupy the last of the play-off places were beaten 3-1 at Crawley Town.

The net result being that Luton Town lead the table by five points from Wycombe Wanderers and Accrington Stanley, with all three sides having played thirty-three games.

Further back, in the play-off places, the Hatters have eight points more than Mansfield, nine points more than Notts County, ten points more than Swindon Town and fourteen points more than Lincoln City.

Happy days for the Hatters.
