Injuries are just something that won`t go away.
Just as we get Pilkington and Blackett back we find that two of our forward players are struggling.
Yesterday, Amari Morgan-Smith played despite limping off at Ebbsfleet in midweek. Aaron O`Connor, despite carrying a knock, was forced to replace him before going off himself, prompting Gary Brabin to comment after the emphatic win,
“We had to bring Amari off on Tiesday because he was injured, we were hoping he would be alright today, but after ten minutes we hadto bring him off.”
“I also left O`Connor off because we had to substitute him on Tuesday because he was injured. We brought him on, he was fantastic for an hour, and then we`ve had to bring him off to look after him.”
“I`m just hoping Amari is alright now after that. He was struggling on Tuesday and we brought him off because we thought we had caught it in time.”
“He`s taken it quite easy for the last couple of days and we thought he would be alright today, but obviously that wasn`t the case.”
With Wrexham on the horizon, we definitely need our best eleven on that pitch, let`s hope Amari can recover in time.
