Now usually mascots are little-un`s, boys who haven`t quite reached puberty, but that wasn`t the case, last Saturday against Barrow, was it!
I couldn`t have been the only person, inside Kenilworth Road, who noticed that the mascot was very tall (and well built) for a little-um or else something was afoot.
Well it turns out that it was the latter!
It seems that friends of Daniel Lyons had arranged, without him knowing, for him to be the mascot for the day as the start of his stag party.
Apparently Daniel had no idea of what lie ahead and only after a few drinks did he decide it`d be a great idea.
Daniel celebrated his status as mascot by netting and running around the Kenilworth Road pitch with his new Hatters shirt above his head.
I guess it beats, hands down, being tied naked to a lamp post, or did that come later in the evening?
