When it comes to football and Luton’s chances of retaining their Championship status, it has been a cracking weekend so far.

Yesterday, following the Hatters fine win away to Huddersfield Town, Vital Luton Town ran an article relating to the games that were being played yesterday (Saturday) that could have an impact upon our eventual fate.

Our article – luton-town-looking-for-other-results-to-go-in-their-favour-this-afternoon – pleaded for three away wins to assist our cause while also asking for a fourth game to end in a draw.

And, as if by magic, that was exactly what happened.

Charlton Athletic, Hull City and Middlesbrough were all beaten, at home, by Reading, Millwall and Bristol City respectively, while the game involving Barnsley and Wigan Athletic ended 0-0.

When the final scores were confirmed, it felt like we’d hit the jackpot.

Today, as our quest for survival continues, is it too much to hope for that Birmingham City can get a win away to Stoke City?

Come on Birmingham, do the Hatters a big favour as we wait for the visit from Queens Park Rangers this Tuesday evening.
