These really are strange times.
Here we are, almost midway through July and the football season, albeit in a convoluted form, is still in full swing.
Last night, up in Yorkshire, the Hatters dug deep and earned the three points they needed to ensure any hopes of retaining their Championship status maintain on course.
Today, the Hatters support will be keeping a close eye on the other Championship scores as they filter in from the various grounds.
But, in these strange times we can’t, as results have already shown since the season resumed after the outbreak of COVID-19.
Whereas, in previous years, you could make a successful judgement call on other fixtures, the behind-closed-doors scenario has proven a great leveller.
Today, as the following post on social media quite rightly points out:
You need some luck now tomorrow with results going your way for a change

we’ll all have our fingers crossed that the teams in upper-case can-do Luton a favour:
Charlton v READING
Hull v MILLWALL
Middlesbrough v BRISTOL CITY
Three away wins would be nice would it not!
As for the other fixture that has an impact on our Championship fixture:
Barnsley v Wigan
I’d settle for a draw.
But can you see the results ALL falling in our favour?

Luton Support Now Believe Survival Is Possible After The Great Result Against Huddersfield Town
Hi mh, as ive said in a previous comment on here we are doing everything we can. But now it’s no longer in our hands and we are dependent on other results I don’t want to rely on the F. A deducting 12 points or 10 from Wigan. If we sit in 22nd place. As I suspect they will manipulate the table to ensure that we are relegated. They do not like luton town an to them we are as loathsome as Millwall
but isn’t it great that we’re not just lying down and dying!
That’s Charlton still in sight boys….
Great results all round there…
Just what I wished (predicted) 🙂
The pendulum has possibly swung in our favour at last, great results today, let’s hope it continues tomorrow.
I think we have the more favourable run in, it’s in our hands to climb out of the bottom three, or finish 22nd and await the unfortunate fate of Wigan.
Two more wins, and I think we can do it…….COYH!
Hi all, yes a great afternoon now if only we can get Stoke beat its game on. An who knows coyh
