We Must Beat Barrow!

After the euphoria of that magical 4th round FA Cup win over Norwich City last Saturday, it`s back to the Conference Premier this weekend as Luton face the long trip to play Barrow.

The last time we played Barrow, we registered an emphatic 6-1 win, but Barrow have hit form since and recently beat our promotion rivals Newport County.

As the squad prepares to make that long trip north, Paul Buckle has spoken to the local media about the importance of getting a result, remarking,

“Our away form was excellent, our home form was a bit patchy and now it`s sort of role reversed.”

“If we can marry the two together, we need grit and determination away from home, with Steve (McNulty), we can start getting the balance right.”

“Everything that`s gone before has gone, the good and bad is history, I`m not interested in that. All I`m interested in is Barrow on Saturday and we`ve got to mean business.”

“I`m sure since Luton have been in the Conference, they`ve been expected to win every game, but that`s not happened because we`re still in the Conference.”

“My job is get us out of the Conference, I don`t want to mess around and tiptoe around, we need a mixture of skill, grit, ruggedness, all of those things.”

“We need to get some real nastiness to our game, be really up for it.”

“There`s not a lot wrong with Barrow from what I`ve seen recently. They`ve been to Newport and beat them so we don`t need any reminder.”

“Luton don`t get an easy game, we don`t go into a game light hearted or you`ll come unstuck.”

Clearly tomorrow is an important game for the Hatters and although you get the feeling, following last Saturday, that the Cup win against Norwich was great, we have to accept that getting out of the Conference is all that matters, in reality, this season.

Come on you Hatters!
