The January transfer window has been open for 10 days now but it has been an incredibly quiet window so far.
Although, here at Vital Luton Town, we expect the Hatters to conduct some business, we are realistic enough to accept that, in the current pandemic driven climate, it could be as little as one player in and a couple off-loaded.
With there being no sign of spectators being allowed back into grounds, finances, across the EFL are stretched.
But we are hopeful that Nathan and the board can get a possible deal over the line to strengthen the squad.
Ahead of the window opening, I felt it was my duty to ask the obvious question, namely:
Which Position Should Nathan Jones Be Looking To Improve This Transfer Window?
Deep down, I must admit I could foresee the result of this vote and my hunch was correct.
Of the votes cast, 92% rubber-stamped my opinion that it should be a striker, someone to offer some assistance to James Collins and someone who has that predatory instinct needed to put away the few chances we are creating.
As for the other options, 6% were of the opinion we needed a midfielder, perhaps believing we needed somebody to create more chances for our forwards, while 2% went for the defender option.
Over the next 20 days, I guess the answer to our question will be revealed.
