Last season Luton Town Football Club came so close to promotion.
After missing out on automatic promotion, the Hatters were forced to play in the play-offs, where they met Blackpool.
Things didn`t work out for Luton and they exited the play-offs at the semi-final stage, courtesy of an injury time own goal, in the second leg.
Ahead of the start of the 2017 / 2018 season, we used our front-page poll to ask a very pertinent question.
We wanted to know whether you believed Luton could get promotion this season.

Your response was overwhelming with a huge 64% opting for the yes option, a clear indication of the pre-season optimism flowing in bundles.
Unfortunately, 33% of you opted for the no option, clearly believing it will be another dark season.
As for the remaining 3% of the vote, that went to the who knows option.
