The Hatters make another trip to the north-west to take on Manchester City this afternoon.

To be perfectly honest, it is not a fixture I am not looking forward to.

It would have been a tough ask to get some kind of result with a fully fit squad, but to have a plethora of players out injured, including a whole raft of centre backs, I fear doesn’t bode well for the Hatters, even more so when you consider the calibre of this Manchester City side.

Indeed, if our hosts get a couple of early goals, we could witness a nightmare scenario!

But, as we all know, if we are to stave off the threat of relegation, today’s game is not the be all and end all with the next fixture, at home to Brentford, being of far more signiicance.

Looking at the recent form, in the last five games, Manchester City, as they pursue silverware, have attained 11 points out of the 15 available whereas the Hatters have managed to accumulate a mere 4 points out of the 15 available.

With the kick-off fast approaching, we are now able to bring you the confirmed team sheets.

Starting with our hosts, Manchester City:

Continuing with Luton Town:

As for those officiating look no further:

Referee – John Brooks
Assistant Referee – Lee Betts
Assistant Referee – Akil Howson
Fourth Official – Darren Bond
VAR – Chris Kavanagh
Assistant VAR – Dan Cook

I fear it is going to be a tough ninety minutes for the Hatters today, it would have been hard enough with a fully fit squad let alone one with so many key players missing, the best we can hope for is a draw, but I can see a drubbing coming up if we concede early.
