Luton’s Shock Loan Decision Queried

The closing of any transfer window can be a fraught time and today has been no exception.

Sat around waiting for news of any deal to break, I just knew it would happen once I had taken ten minutes out to freshen up and have a shower.

Upon returning to my trusty laptop I discover, via the Official Site that Peter Kioso has been sent out on a season-long loan to MK Dons.

Flabbergasted is the word that immediately springs to mind.

After successful spells at Bolton Wanderers and Northampton Town last season I had high hopes that the 22-year-old would be Kioso’s breakthrough season here at Kenilworth Road, a view backed up by the promising start he had made to the season.

But no, this latest loan deal plunges the promising youngster back into the depths of League One meaning it will not be until next season that he gets the chance to shine.

Okay, he may get regular football with the MK Dons but at an inferior level.

I am gutted, but do you share my views on this latest deal the Hatters have negotiated for the lad.

I think it’s good for his development and will allow us to bring someone in Peter was never going to get the game time in my opinion and is not ready for this level any new on anybody coming in

  • Scotty says:

I reckon he’s ready for this level. However, it’s a squad game and he has to be patient for a regular start. Clearly, he’d rather play at a lower level and get regular game time.

  • Alan says:

I’m hearing he chose to go, I’m gutted, shame he couldn’t have been a bit more patient…but it’s where he had been b4.. hope it works out for him….

    • Mad Hatter says:

but did he have a real choice, I’d ask? Has something gone on behind the scenes? Is he aware someone else, who can play in his position is set to arrive before 2300 hours tonight? All a bit strange to me.

  • Alan says:

    Time will tell…..

  • Ken says:

He should be first on the team sheet every match. How else is he going to learn.

  • Alan says:

Good idea…but he would get crucified by many supporters who wouldn’t be patient with him, I’m afraid…..

  • Pogo says:

I can’t believe some of the comments.have some of you been watching James Bree this season. If anyone looks out of his depth it’s him.Kioso is a far better prospect.I think Jones is desperate for Bree to be as good asJack Stacey but he’s got to be kidding.he’s dropped a massive clanger with this one.

  • Alan says:

Hearing kioso’s comments it sounds like it he wanted to go…..

  • jimbo says:

Somethings not quite right at The Kenny presently. We’ve allowed two good players to leave in Morrell and now Kioso! What’s going on?
