Sometimes, just sometimes, I reckon thinking out of the box can be very productive.

Yesterday, while I was otherwise engaged, I was running this idea through my mind about running a poll on a totally random subject.

The poll I envisaged running related to current affairs and was going to ask which of the three options below were going to happen first:

1 – Boris Johnson to resign!

2 – Russia to invade the Ukraine!

or

3 – Watford to sack their manager!

Well, that got totally ruined didn’t it when I tuned into the sports news and found that Claudio Ranieri had been removed from his post with the Italian being axed after just under four months in charge.

The sacking now means that, even though it is only January, Watford are looking for their third manager of a troubled season.

Quite who is going to accept the poisoned chalice this time around remains to be seen but I’m guessing it does have one benefit, after a few months in charge you’ll probably end up with a decent pay-off.

Claudio Ranieri has always struck me as a decent man, who’ll ever forget the miracles he carried out at Leicester City when the Foxes won the Premier League title, I wish him well.

But has the sacking of the likeable Italian given me a fresh idea for my ‘off-the-wall’ poll?

Should it now read:

1 – Boris Johnson to resign!

2 – Russia to invade the Ukraine!

or

3 – Watford to be relegated!

So, even though the weather is miserable, and the temperature is dropping, I have to say our local rivals have put a smile on my face, how about you?
