Luton – Worth The Risk Or Definitely Out Of Bounds – You Decide

Time for some controversy, time to delve into the unknown and gauge your reaction on what I’m sure is a prickly subject.

Like many over the past months, I’ve been monitoring the situation regarding the Manchester United forward, Mason Greenwood.

His trials and tribulations have resulted in a plethora of column inches being written by the main stream media about the young forward who appeared to have wasted his career.

But currently, he is a free man, cleared of all charges and looking to re-start his career.

However, public demand has seen any chances of resurrecting his Old Trafford career quashed and Manchester United have decided that he will be leaving the club, either on a permanent deal or possibly a loan deal.

But where will/could he end up?

Obviously a move abroad is the favourite but with Greenwood being a classy forward, is there a chance a Premier League club could take a chance on Mason, even if it is just a season long loan?

Could Luton Town be a possible destination, albeit on loan?

Or, despite being cleared by the courts of all charges, is the mere mention of his name taboo?

I’d certainly be interested to hear your thoughts on this controversial subject matter, please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article.

Any British club that takes him will get slaughtered in the press, so he’ll end up abroad, probably in a country with less scruples.

  • Chris winter says:

Wouldn’t bother me either way.Not been found guilty of anything.

  • Colin says:

His reputation has been damaged any club in England thinking of taking him would have to be prepared to take a big does of criticism personally ithink incent till proven guilty is how I see it

  • jimbo says:

because he was found not guilty dose’nt seem to matter for many people. he would be a great signing for luton, but too expensive i fear. COYH.

  • chris H says:

has he been convicted of anything no!!! get him on loan

  • Peter Scott says:

The CPS dropped all charges against him and someone is innocent until proven guilty – I would be ok with him being rehabilitated at LTFC. The guy was stupid but with proper support from the LTFC squad I think he will benefit – take 50% of his pay and donate to a womens shelter charity

  • John says:

Never in a million years. No, he wasn’t convicted of a crime but his behaviour was appalling. We don’t need millionaire teenagers who think the sun shines out of their you know what. Team spirit, work ethic and tactics got us promoted and this is what will keep us up.

  • Peter Scott says:

We all seem to have forgotten Ched Evans who was involved in a similar case and played for Sheffield United and now Preston. He is now fully integrated back into the football community. He went to prison for a while before being released on license and finally found not guilty. If LTFC is a truely wonderful club they should give him a chance. All people make a mistake or two in their lives.

  • Steve Bahrain says:

I don’t believe in the court of Twitter… shouldn’t have years (and possibly irrepairable) damage to his career until the only body of law authorised in the country decide he is guilty.
This cancel culture needs massive boundaries.

  • Bill says:

Innocent or guilty he isn’t worth the flak that would come with him. Sorry but we are better staying clear of all this.

  • adam laycock says:

On loan from who, he is a free agent who can earn £750k per week in Saudi Arabia but will probably end up at Roma
Some of these posts are amazing
