I’ve never been a fan of fixtures changes, as altered by the television companies, but on this one occasion, I’m absolutely delighted.

One of the outstanding fixtures Luton Town have to play before the 2022/2023 season comes to an end is the home fixture, against high-flying Middlesbrough.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday 22nd April but has now been moved, to enable Sky Sports to broadcast the game live, to Monday 24th April with an evening kick-off.

But why am I so delighted you may ask?

Well, that weekend I am destined to be away, sampling the delights of Norfolk, a surprise weekend away arranged by the wife.

Suffice to say, sat in a caravan on an isolated site, with the wind coming off the North Sea, any chances of picking up a reliable internet signal, would have been remote.

But, we’ll be heading for home, around lunch time on the Monday and therefore, barring a catastrophic journey home, a 20:00 hours kick-off, at Kenilworth Road, is heaven sent.

Now all we need to do is not let the Sky TV curse get in the way of a good result!
