Okay, okay, things did not quite go to plan up at Bramall Lane, on Saturday, with the Hatters slipping to a 2-0 defeat.
But it was always going to be a difficult game against a Sheffield United side that sat alongside us in the Championship table.
Ahead of the game I said I’d be pleased with a draw, anything else would be a bonus, but as it turned out it wasn’t to be.
But although the journey home would have been a long trek, there was a lot to be grateful for.
In a week where the Hatters had played three games, Bournemouth (h), Reading (a) and Sheffield United (a), Luton accumulated 6 points from the 9 available, a return that was appreciated on social media:
6 points from 9. Still a decent week 👌

It was also something that Nathan Jones, in his post-match interview and as reported by The BBC, was appreciative of, remarking:
“But the overriding message is that I would have taken six points realistically from Bournemouth, Reading and Sheffield United – after you win the first two, you get greedy and think you won’t accept six. Let’s not forget it’s been a decent week.”
It has and with two home games to come, Bristol City (Tuesday) and Blackburn Rovers (Saturday) there is no reason why Luton cannot look forward to a decent points return.
I reckon we’ll take 4 points out of the 6 available, how about you?

Morning mh, As I said in my last post we were on course for a point. Then a poor second half of defending ruined it. So why are we now being linked to a loan of Freddie woodman keeper at Newcastle. I would have thought that 2 proper defenders would be more use!!
if true, I’m suspicious of what is going on with Sluga. But you are 100% right about the poor defending.
Same here mh all this gossip about keepers. Surely means something is going on with our keepers.
Yesterday was a let down after the weekwe have just had but to be where we are now is something we can work on two home games now and like MD I will be happy with 4pts Blackburn is another Sheffield United very hard game but win games we think we can and we will be doing alright .coyh
