The Hatters are sitting well placed, in the EFL Championship table, when it comes to achieving a play-off place.
Currently in 7th place, but equal on points with 6th place Norwich, Luton are in the fine position where, if they win their games in hand they could well be sat in 3rd place behind the breakaway duo of Burnley and Sheffield United who looks odds-on to secure the two automatic promotion places.
But something concerns me!
Our next two games are both at home.
This Tuesday evening we welcome Cardiff City to Kenilworth Road and, on Saturday, we welcome Stoke City to our quaint old ground.
Now, looking at the table, Cardiff occupy 21st position and Stoke 18th position, meaning that, on paper, they are both games I’d expect Luton Town to win.
But, and it is a big but, to do so we’ll need to drastically improve our home form which, as I write, has seen us win just 3 games out of the 16 we’ve played, drastically inferior to our away record that has seen us win 9 out of 16.
However, are we up to the demand?
