The Hatters welcome Wigan Athletic, to Kenilworth Road, for a Championship fixture this afternoon.

After accumulating seven points out of the last nine available, courtesy of two wins and a draw, the Hatters support will be hoping their side can add another three points to their seasons total against a Wigan Athletic side who have two points less than us but have also played a game fewer.

As is the norm, there has been much debate over who will make Nathan Jones starting XI, but we can now end that discussion, with the kick-off looming large, bring and end to the debate by revealing the team sheets:

Starting with Luton Town

Continuing with our visitors, Wigan Athletic

As for the officials appointed, look no further:

Referee – Chris Kavanagh
Assistant Referee – Mark Scholes
Assistant Referee – Nick Greenhalgh
Fourth Official – James Linington

A win today would see the Hatters climb further up the Championship table and re-ignite hopes that the club can challenge, once again, for promotion, so how about it Luton?

Happy with that… And good to see Mr Bradley back on the bench.
Elijah has a 50% conversion rate of clear cut chances this season… Converted into opposition counter-attacks that is…
Let’s hope he’s left his lead lined wooden clogs at home and can get back on the goal trail today, surely a matter of time.

Only osho starting for the injured Burke great. I think the golden goose will score today. Its either all the ale drunk or just a feeling in me waters. Nah its definitely the amount of ale drunk.

Anybody else think as I do we’ve been found out by everyone an they know exactly how to play us. Even the promoted teams. We are just so predictable. An obvious to to everyone no plan c or d. I sorry but I fear a long hard season an see us 15 to 20th if this continues. Something has to change.

    Sack the manager

  • Steve Bahrain says:

I thought we looked good today, except you never felt that second goal was going arrive… Elijah must be rested now that we have Woodrow, Cornick, Jerome to partner Morris…
Alan, have the refs advised that they are letting a lot more go this season to keep games flowing? Not complaining as he let it go both ways…
If that is the way games are going to be managed, again, we need to be more physical with teams.

  • Alan says:

Not too sure about ref thing. But I personally think we should play the diamond at home. Only my opinion. Not convinced the mid 3 work at home.

    • Chris winter says:

No I don’t want to sack the manager Alan. I just think we lack ideas in the coaching department. An playing out of form players hinders us.

      • Alan says:

Was a tongue in cheek remark chris, not a response to you, but to the panic merchants. This league is gonna be tight this season, everyone beating everyone.

        • Chris winter says:

OK no worries mate. Just fed up with the club coaching an lack of any ideas to alliviate the situation even when the club admits now they got everything wrong from the starting line up to subs. What does that tell you!!!!!

if referees keep letting fouls go unpunished then we will have much more injured players, how can it be right to push people to the ground and not get punished. it will end up the biggest most physical team will win. you might as well watch wrestling. what a great game yesterday. in patches our passing was a pleasure to watch, we must score goals, we had so many chances. what a good player aasgaard is, would be welcome in any team. lockyer good choice for man of the match. we need a bit of luck at the moment, and the goals will come. hoping elijah snaps out of his poor form, think we should try him as an impact sub?
