The Hatters are back in action this evening taking on Manchester City in a FA Cup 5th round tie.

Much has been made about the starting XI and whether Rob Edwards will play his strongest XI or rest some players, although the same could be said about the Manchester City side.

With a quarter-final place up for grabs, I’d hope it is the strongest available.

With the kick-off fast approaching we are now able to bring you the starting elevens.

Continuing with Manchester City:

Can the Hatters get one over the multi-talented Manchester City side, let’s hope so!

I will say this now without lokonga or nakamba in front of the defence and that midfield I fear we are in for a long night.

  • Alan says:

Well we knew neither would be playing, so it is what it is……

Well what a watch last night was.Full on entertainment from start to finish. Given a master class by city but showing we won’t roll over for anyone no matter what. Two class goals from Clark and some bad luck in front of goal could have scored four. Also some positives don’t know if there was meant to be a formation after the substitutions or just going for a full press lol. But I thought Johnson an haikido look like they will soon be getting more minutes as they didn’t look out of place in the team so that’s a positive going forward and looked like Burke was emulating stones and playing in midfield.lots to look forward to till the end of the season.

Agree chris. City were sheer class. But we kept at them. 2 quality goals. Carry on with that effort & a couple of faces back & we will be fine.

Well beaten but not outfought. Thought Anthony Taylor let the game flow and not one yellow card shown. He reminded me of David Ellerey.
Let’s hope we can get back to winning ways againt Villa, again on TV !
