Match Day is with us again and the Hatters support will flock to Kenilworth Road hoping that today will be the day.

The home support is yet to witness a home win, in all competitions, this season, will today be the day when they take on high-flying Blackburn Rovers.

A win would certainly boost our confidence as well as lifting us up the table, a defeat, or even a draw, could see that lack of confidence drain even further.

Ahead of the game, as is always the case, a debate has been ensuing relating to who should be selected in the Hatters starting XI, one name who will definitely be included will be that of Carlton Morris.

Our summer signing is in fine form having notched 5 goals in the last 5 games and is fast becoming a fans favourite.

With the kick-off fast approaching we are now able to bring you the team sheets.

Starting with Luton Town:

Continuing with our visitors, Blackburn Rovers:

As for the officials, look no further:

Referee – Josh Smith
Assistant Referee – Matthew Jones
Assistant Referee – Akil Howson
Fourth Official – James Linington

Three points would certainly get the weekend off to a fine start, how about it Luton?

Good to see lockyer back . Coyh

  • Chris winter says:

Not unhappy with the team surprise is isted Fred an freeman on bench.

  • Andrew says:

I have not been to many games so far ad I live in Wales but I been to Swansea and Cardiff games and lockyer , potts and burke at the back seems good fit and today with this win justifies them as a back three .coyh

  • Chris winter says:

Am I feeling a deja vu season coming on beating top 6 sides an losses to lower clubs an a 10th to 15 the place again. Hope I’m wrong.

  • jimbo says:

good win at last. when burke plays like he did yesterday, what an exciting player. good team performance. hope elijah gets fit and hungry, we will need his presence sooner or later. also hope the refereeing standard improves, they seem to be in a world of there own. serious game changing decisions are being made, it must get better. i still dont understand how you can push someone full force with your hands, on to the floor and not get penalised. is this allowed ,its football not wrestling. lockyer and burke look good in defence, clark and campbell never stop, overall excellent team performance.hope this has made everybody happier, having a bit of fun at last. COYH.

Blackburn were poor, but we capitalized, looked organized, wasn’t pretty but managed the game over the full 90mins and win never in doubt.
NJ annoyed me in post match, made all the changes fans had asked for then used the moment to tear into fans? Hope he uses break to go on holiday, unwind a little bit… Fans are behind him and management team and I haven’t heard any abuse directed to them reference points tally or league position, we are all realists and proud of where we are… Right?
Agree Jimbo that officials this year have been consistently bad, for and against, must have been some lapses in training officials or some very confusing messaging put out to them…

    • Chris winter says:

Steve I’ve said it before about the club. We pay their wages through season tickets an attendance. So we have a right to voice an opinion on forums. Like you I haven’t heard much comment during games. But as the club has said before look where we’re an i have. At the moment we are in transition again. Which is OK but. Again the club says we know what we are doing you lot don’t. So doh!!! An people wonder why I don’t rate our club hierarchy doh.

  • Andrew says:

I have great respect for nj but when he keeps saying that Blackburn were a premiership team how long ago was that and how many players are left from when they were in the premiership. If a team has been out of the premiership for more than three seasons they team would have changed so much . It seems like when we had gj here always saying that we were a small club maybe we are but don’t use that as an excuse. Coyh

  • jimbo says:

chris glad to hear all comments, good or bad. ex premier teams means nothing, we can beat them all. i dont know the constraints our heirarchy has to work in, so i defer to your knowledge.always enjoy yours and alans differences of opinion. hope to hear more people commenting on this forum.COYH.

    • Chris winter says:

Exactly jimbo, I repeat we pay for the club to survive remember that they were dead an buried until we saved them not rich owners. Just because a manager comes in an forgets our history. We owned our club an still have a say on the board. So stuff the prat an his histrionics. I put money in so I will have my say.

    • Chris winter says:

Sorry jimbo but now you have got me on my high horse. Jones needs to remember he wouldn’t have the privalidged position he has now without the support of thousands of fans that saved our club. I have no I’ll will against the current board. They are doing well. But Jones needs to apologise to us fans for his comments. Let’s see what happens. As I suspect the media reads these posts. We are passionate fans an don’t do bulls**t. I’m sure Jones is just as committed but is blinkered in his belief. Feel free mh an all to disagree.

      • Steve Bahrain says:

I don’t expect an apology, obviously some idiot has riled him up but no excuse to lash out at all fans when, by and large, we back them despite the odd grumble or concern. Will be happy just to not have to hear these “fans should shut up” running commentaries every chance he gets.

        • Mad Hatter says:

NJ needs to remember when he left the first time then came back, not sure he would have been so well received if we were not all locked cos of COVID!

  • jimbo says:

chris dont get upset on a sunday. grab a can and put your feet up. look forward to our loan players coming back, and maybe playing for us. keep your blood pressure down. COYH.

    • Steve Bahrain says:

Early days for new manager but Thorpe only featured from bench since he took charge… Think NJ will pull him back by Jan if carries on.
Pereira seems smitten at Bradford and them with him, wouldn’t be surprised to see them put money down for him if he can stay fit and keep performances up.
And Muskwe/Gomes getting good game time together, they’ll be left until next year now… So, Thorpe…

      • Chris winter says:

Steve, stop living in dreamland lol. Jones has a god given right to do as he pleases an fans who saved the club from extinction don’t know a thing about football. You’ve seen his comments😭😭

        • Steve Bahrain says:

I thought the issue was there are No God Given Rights… Lol…

          • Chris winter says:

Exactly which is why I can’t forget the misery we went through to save the club. It’s our club we saved it no one else. Not Jones or the board but the fans. It seems some have short memories. An will be led like lambs to slaughter. I will scream an shout for my right to give my opinion about my opinion an want Jones to f**cking apologise for his insult.

    • Chris winter says:

Sorry jimbo, Jones claims to be humble but forgets we gave him the chance then he dumped us for Stoke. We have forgiven an welcomed him back. So where is his forgiveness in fans that aren’t openly calling for change at games but discussing change. Sorry but it does not wash with me. I’ll support team till I die but not him.

  • Chris winter says:

And jimbo, do you really think Jones has the right to criticise the people who saved the club from being a barrow Bury Maidstone hartlepool from extinction. I don’t we saved our club and have every right to say what we think. Bet mh won’t ut this up for discussion lol.

  • Andrew says:

Nj has his right to sat how he is feeling just like all of us ,weather he is right or not I don’t agree with everything he says but on the majority of time is right but maybe not about the fans he should have been here when the crowd was on the team and the board. Let’s see how the season plays out . Coyh

    • Chris winter says:

Andrew he may have have spoken in the heat of a moment. But like always he doesn’t measure his words. We saved this club we are it’s lifeblood. Not him or any board we the fans keep the club in business. We are here long after any management. We are luton town not a board or manager. So we can say what we feel OK mh what does the runners of the site say can we debate this subject lol an does he owe us an apology.

      • Mad Hatter says:

i’ll put together an article (controversial) after the Queens funeral.

        • Chris winter says:

Personally I see nothing contraversal about this just a different opinion. On what fans can say on forums an njs opinion of what we say. If as I suspect the media takes note then they should not be so dismissive of us. An nj needs to not take offence an apologise for the unnecessary offence caused.
