With the third international break of the season now over, it is time to re-focus on the resumption of the Premier League.

The Hatters, this Saturday, will go head-to-head, at Kenilworth Road, with Crystal Palace.

Back in February 2022, Crystal Palace featured in our regular ‘They Played For Both’ series – Click Here – where, after much soul searching I came up with the following starting XI:

Goalkeeper – Cedric Berthelin

Defender – Jack Bannister
Defender – Emmerson Boyce
Defender – Matthew Upson
Defender – Roger Hoy

Midfielder – Peter Nicholas
Midfielder – Brian Lewis
Midfielder – Vince Hilaire

Forward – Iain Dowie
Forward – Trevor Aylott
Forward – Chris Martin

As is the norm, I asked for the readership to provide the names of any players I may have missed who fitted the criteria.

As it turned out four names were forthcoming:

Darren Patterson
Barry Silkman
Albert Dawes

and

Calvin Andrew

Now, after due consideration, I didn’t feel the need to amend my original XI, but now the dust has settled, are there any other players out there you would like to nominate that fit the criteria?

If so, please feel free to drop their names into the comment facility beneath this article.
