Luton Town – The Will It Or Won’t It Be Ready In Time Question

Yesterday, the Hatters released ticketing details for the forthcoming Carabao Cup tie against the League Two side, Gillingham.

Seemingly, there are no tickets available, for sale, for the Bobbers Stand, with the official line being:

“Please note that tickets are not on sale for this fixture in the Bobbers Stand at this time.”

Now, as it stands the second round tie is scheduled to be played on Tuesday 29th September, just 3 days before we entertain, at Kenilworth Road, West Ham United.

Now I’m sure, like me, you’ve seen pictures of the ongoing development of the aforementioned stand, on social media and pretty impressive it looks.

When work began, we were told it would be completed in time for the start of the Premier League season.

But, ahead of the new season commencing, the first home fixture, against Burnley, was postponed.

With it being difficult to gauge when the social media pictures have been taken, the latest of which show some blue seats being installed, I have to ask a pertinent question.

With tickets, currently, not for sale for the Gillingham game, are we facing an around the clock operation to get things completed for the West Ham fixture?

Or could it be a case of ensuring we comply with the media requirements and worry about the seated support for a subsequent fixture?

Can anyone clarify the situation?

The club has to reward loyalty everyone knew what the situation would be if we ever got to premier league, my son and I live in Leeds but we have still had away season tickets since league 1 everyone had the opportunity to get them but chose not too cos they didn’t want to go to Accrington Burton etc but are now crying cos they wana go to the prem stadiums!!! But at the same we were getting to 6/7 home games a season but now we’ve accepted no chance of getting to the Kenny this season due to how the club are selling them ..it is what it is 🤷‍♂️
