So sad to hear that, yesterday, one of my idols from my early days supporting the Hatters had passed away.
Jimmy Husband, who made 143 league appearances for Luton Town, scoring 44 goals, passed away, after a short illness, aged 76.
Jimmy, a player playing in the hole between defence and attack, played for the Hatters from 1973 to 1978 and was part of the squad that Harry Haslam assembled during that memorable return to top-flight football, sadly a spell that only lasted for the single season before we dropped back down a division.

His death comes so soon after we lost another off our favourites – RIP-Chris-Nicholl
Hopefully, Jimmy will be given the traditional send-off ahead of our scintillating clash with Nottingham Forest, at Kenilworth Road, this coming Saturday.
