After playing yesterday, Hatters fans face a Saturday without a fix of their team, or do they?
Flicking through the plethora of TV channels available to me, I noticed that on ITV 4, at 10:30, an episode, if that’s the right word, of ‘Match Time Revisited’ is being broadcast.
The programme takes us back to January 1982 and features three matches from the FA Cup 4th round.
One of the matches featured is Luton Town v Ipswich Town, from a Kenilworth Road that is far different from the one we visit today.
The other two games featured are – Sunderland v Liverpool and Blackpool v Queens Park Rangers.
I’ll not divulge the results as I think it lessens the entertainment so, settle down, tune in grab yourself a coffee and just see what happens from an era when the game was far simpler and more working class than today.
