With the closure of the summer transfer window, I was half expecting several of those not in contention for a starting place, to be loaned out or sold.

Late yesterday afternoon (Friday) news broke, courtesy of the Official Site that one of young forwards, Aribim Pepple, had joined the non-league side, Bromley.

Pepple, who joined the Hatters back in 2022, has yet to make a senior appearance for Luton Town and, to be brutally honest, was unlikely to do so this season with competition for striking places being very strong.

Last season, in a similar situation, Pepple spent the first half of the season on loan at Grimsby Town.

But what does the future have in store for a player who was born in Kettering but who came to the Hatters attention playing in Canadian football.

At 20-years-of-age, Pepple has youth on his side, but with the Hatters striving to make sure they retain their status as a Premier League side, it is essential that Pepple has an excellent season for Bromley, otherwise this time next year he could, on a permanent basis, be leaving the club.

Do you concur with my views or do you beg to differ.
