Luton – They Were There For The Taking This Coming Saturday

Although I’m pleased the Hatters are in the FA Cup 4th round, this weekend, with Grimsby Town our opposition, I’m a little miffed that our EFL Championship game has been postponed.

With Luton Town sitting just off the play-off places, with a game in hand, we could see a scenario whereby we slip further down the table, courtesy of those sides already knocked out of the FA Cup playing.

But what really miffs me is that this Saturday, Cardiff City would have been there for the taking.

Their EFL Championship form is poor with the Welsh side having a record, from the last five games, that reads – DDLDL – and are languishing in 21st place in the table, just three points clear of the relegation places.

As a result of their poor form their manager, Mark Hudson, was sacked and his former assistant, Dean Whitehead, currently running first team affairs.

My view is that the three points would have been there for the taking.

Currently, the postponed fixture has yet to be re-arranged and I can’t help wonder if, when the game does get played, Cardiff City will be in better shape.

Never mind, as we all know this fine game of ours is all about swings and roundabouts!
