Three games into the new season and Rob Edwards side have yet to earn a point, instead they sit bottom of the Premier League table.

Three games, three defeats, isn’t how any of us would have liked the season to start but, then again, before the season started how many points would you have expected the Hatters to take against Brighton (a), Chelsea (a) and West Ham (h)?

After seeing his team slip to a third straight defeat, Rob Edwards, as is his duty, faced the cameras and had this to say about the game, as reported by Sky Sports

“I can’t keep saying the same things but the goals we conceded were disappointing. We kept pushing to the end but it was a tight game and we could have come away with something.”

Yes, we could have, except VAR, I believe, let us down, but more of that later. Although we’ve been beaten in all three games so far, we’ve not been thrashed, just punished for poor defending and mistakes.

Continuing, Rob added:

“We know it’s a big task, we know it’s difficult but there was nothing in the game tonight. We can brush up, we can learn and we will. We’ll get back to basics but that’s an improvement in the three games.

“There’s nothing to fear. I’m glad we’ve experienced that at home.”

Exactly, we’re not the only side struggling to get off the mark, all three promoted sides, from last season, Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town, have failed to get a point on the board, although, at the time of writing, Burnley have only played twice.

I’m certain there will be games, especially at home, when the Hatters will play just as they did last night and snatch something from the game, we just need time to adapt to the Premier League.

Keep the faith!

Not sure we can play with the luxury off two strikers up front,at the expense off another midfielder.

Congratulations to both West ham an Luton. Both played the game only 7 mins added to the game yet again for the right reasons. Our games must be the shortest games played this season 😂😂 mind you we haven’t played spurs or utd yet.

Let’s face it guys I don’t know about you but I’m feeling a sense of deja vu’ here. Have we heard this before in recent times?

  • Andrew says:

Well if it deja vu then it’s still the same mistakes shame lockery was not fit or potts then we would have all centre half available to choose from not sure the right three but maybe re knows . COYH
