Ahead of the game, against Watford on Saturday, Rob Edwards had us all fooled when he spoke about Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu.
The gaffer, in his press conference, had promised that Pelly would play again this season, but little did we know that he’d come back from injury and play against that lot from down the road.
Indeed, when the team sheets were announced, an air of welcome surprise was prevalent.
Naturally, Pelly went on to give a performance that proved he is still very much a first choice when it comes the starting XI.
I may have mentioned it before but I believe that, under the stewardship of Rob Edwards, Pelly has upped his game to another level.
Indeed, his efforts are certainly being appreciated by those that frequent social media:
Loved it near the end up at the maple corner flag , looks at the Kenny crowd and does a”we got this” look on his face…Legend 🧡💙

The Legend that keeps on legending! Let’s make sure he becomes the first player ever to go from nonleague to Prem while staying at the same (great) club. #COYH

Now wouldn’t that be some feat!
Here’s hoping that Pelly can remain fit and continue to prove he is a great asset as we do are darndest to gate-crash the Premier League.
