Luton – That’s More Like It My Son

Towards the back end of last week, ahead of the fixture against table-topping Burnley, I asked that, at least for the duration of the game, we gave those in orange our utmost support.

The article – its-time-to-get-behind-all-those-in-orange – promoted, in the comment facility, a healthy debate.

The article also contained a poll but, for once, I’m not going to publish the results, instead I’m going to concentrate on the fact that one player, who constantly gets criticised by the support and who was named in the reference poll, gave a performance yesterday, against Burnley, that earned him the ‘Player of the Match’ accolade.

Indeed, such was his performance, social media was alive with posts offering praise:

It’s interesting to note that since Rob Edwards took over the managerial hot seat, from the previous incumbent, Pelly has benefitted enormously, the shackles appear to have been cast aside, he’s retained full fitness and uses his strengths to the teams advantage.

Hopefully, Pelly can continue in this rich vein of form, steer clear of injuries and continue to pick up ‘Player of the Match’ awards.
