I am still struggling to comprehend just what I witnessed last night.
After losing to Stoke City, on Saturday, a trip to Millwall, in my opinion, gave Luton Town the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways.
We expected the Hatters to get stuck in, show a bit of industry, and match the home side blow for blow.
Instead, it was more of a surrender, a gutless performance where, never once, did we look as if we could get anything from the fixture.
For me, watching it was painful and the number of times I squealed in anguish as the ball was once again given way, must have upset the neighbours.
But I am not alone in feeling somewhat exasperated about the performance.
Visiting the social media feeds, this morning, it appears numerous other Luton fans were not impressed with what they watched last night, as the comments below perfectly illustrate:
One of the worst performances in ages. Didn't seem to know what the game plan was, looked lost and had zilch ideas going forward. Woeful. Learn from this and move on! #COYH 🧡

Terrible performance. No heart, no cutting edge and no clue

That. Was. Hard. To. Watch. 🙁

That was seriously depressing.

More worryingly, it was the second consecutive game that Luton have struggled in, as another poster succinctly commented:
How have we not created anything exciting in 180 minutes of football

This morning, with the squad reporting for training, Nathan Jones has some serious work to do, perhaps though he should start as suggested below:
I’d make the players stay and watch that game from start to finish so they can sit through what we just had to. Well and truly abysmal

Now that is not a bad idea!
