Earlier this week, we ran an article covering just how much respect our, on-loan, keeper, Ethan Horvath, has generated among the Luton support.
Our article – keeper-continues-to-impress-the-support – queried whether, come the end of the season, the Hatters would be able to sign the American international on a permanent basis.
Well, according to Luton Today, that could well become reality with our source carrying the following quotes attributed to the gaffer:
“A real good guy, real character, he’s really diligent, positive, a pleasure to be around and he’s just rubbed off on everyone really.
“We don’t take loans, but we felt that when there’s an opportunity to really improve, then we take that gamble and then we always try to get an option, so there’s things in place that if we would like to make it permanent then I’m sure we can.
“He’s a real good goalkeeper, we knew that before we brought him, we waited, we could have signed goalkeepers a lot easier before we brought Ethan in, but we waited because we believed he was the right one.”
Here’s hoping that Nottingham Forest see fit to do a deal with the Hatters.

Jim, we have 1 long term injury a young lad who can’t get a chance to play because the number 1 keeper is performing so well. An a third who in my opinion isn’t good enough so in reality we have 2 keepers. Anyway I would prefer us to buy horvath now. As he could be the new feuer.
So glad I got this wrong. Personally I want us to make it permanent now. Before the world Cup. I know the window is closed but we agree terms with forest now and the loan becomes a sale at the next window. Otherwise we could get gazumped later.

Remember jimbo he’s a 19 an only played in Canada. Probably about our 7th tier of football. Grimsbys manager is looking after him well an is very happy with the progress he’s making. Also that league is now on a par with championship as to how hard it is to get out of. He’s improving that’s what counts. I forsee another loan next year an then maybe back with us.
