Luton Squeeze A Point Out Of A Dull Game To Press Home Promotion Hopes

Six games left in what could turn out to be a memorable season and Luton Town are very much in the promotion race.

Yesterday, Good Friday, saw the Hatters travel to South London, to take on fellow promotion hopefuls, Millwall.

The game, as I predicted in the build-up, was always going to be a tight one and, unfortunately, never a classic.

And that was how it turned out with chances being few and far between, for either side in what was a niggly game.

Indeed, the nature of the game was something that dominated social media:

Yes, a point could be, as we press for a play-off spot, all important, we’re at the stage of the season whereby points gained are more important than the display, come the end of May, if we achieve our goal, I’m sure nobody will dominate any chit-chat with how poor both sides were in this fixture.

The New Den, as the next post admirably puts it, is a tough place to go, only Norwich City, in the gaggle of sides chasing promotion, have come away with all three points, so, in some ways, a draw is a decent result:

Nex up for the Hatters is a fixture against Mick McCarthy’s struggling Blackpool, despite their lowly position, I reckon it’ll be another tough fixture.

Naming Tom Lockyer man of the match was the only sensible thing to come out of Lee Hendries mouth all day, please don’t let us have that commentary line up again, boring watching the match on mute!

Good point away not bothered about performance.Other results went our way again so a positive. Must beat middles borough now to maintain our position. Only worry is at present means 2 more games against Millwall .As for hendrie Steve he’s never got a good word for us.
