Luton – Should Pay-Per-View Continue Next Season

It is a year to the day that the country, after being addressed by Boris Johnson, went into its first national lockdown.

For many, like myself, it has been a year of working-from-home, shielding, because of COVID-19 targeting our medical conditions.

In many ways it has been a strange year, 365 days spent distancing from my work colleagues and only conversing via SKYPE.

As a result of the lockdown, attending Luton Town matches has been impossible with the implementation of behind-closed-doors fixtures being the norm apart from a brief interlude when 2000 supporters could attend a limited number of games before another wave of the pandemic ended that.

But access to the Hatters fixtures has been available via iFollow, a godsend for those who were keen to see Luton play.

However, with a road map out of lockdown now published, there is every chance, pandemic permitting, supporters will be able to return to Kenilworth Road next season, to see the Hatters in action.

But, according to The Daily Mail there are ongoing talks with the EFL possibly looking to continue to offer supporters the chance to watch their side via pay-per-view, probably the iFollow platform.

But would that be a good move?

Would it encourage supporters to stay at home and watch Luton, particularly if the weather is bad?

Would it encourage supporters to stay at home and cheer the side on as opposed to journeying the length, width, and breadth of the country to cheer their side on?

Sat here in the editorial chair I would love to read your views on what could be perceived as a controversial subject, simply drop them in the comment facility beneath this article.
