Luton Midfielder Set To Join Hatters Exodus

In what is turning out to be a major summer squad revamp, it appears the Hatters are set to lose another of last seasons’ midfield contingent.

According to The Daily Mail, Ryan Tunnicliffe has rejected the chance to put pen-to-paper to a new two year deal and is set to leave Kenilworth Road after joining the club in July 2019 from Millwall.

During his time at Kenilworth Road, Tunnicliffe has 63 league appearances and has scored 3 goals.

In the 2020/2021 season, he made 17 starts and scored against Sheffield Wednesday (h) and Nottingham Forest (a).

As for potential destinations, our referenced source implies Tunnicliffe could be heading to either Derby County, Huddersfield Town, Barnsley or Hull City.

Although Tunnicliffe is a player I would liked to have seen sign a new contract it is a case of the adage – if they do not want to play for the club then move them on!

Is that a view you concur with or disagree with?
