As far as the speculation goes, on this last day of the transfer window, the Hatters have been linked with a defender, two midfielders and now a striker.
Earlier today, we covered the two midfielders – Harvey White and and Marvelous Nakamba.
and this afternoon we covered the speculation Luton were looking to sign Steve Cook from Nottingham Forest.
Of the trio, only Marvelous Nakamba has put pen-to-paper, as confirmed by the Official Site but, with the 23:00 hours deadline approaching, the Hatters, according to Football Insider 24/7 are looking to bring the young Peterborough striker, Joe Taylor, to the club.
With Cameron Jerome having left Kenilworth Road and with rumours rife that Harry Cornick could still follow, before the deadline, signing another striker makes good sense. Taylor has made first team appearances for Peterborough and could bring back that striking depth we had.
Sat here in the editorial chair, I’ll keep a watchful eye on proceedings to see if this deal does get done or is just speculation.

I am guessing that this means Cornick all but confirmed? Do like how RE is handling the instant replacement for players gone.
If Taylor arrives we will have a plethora of talented young strikers (despite the departure of McJannet) but would any of them thrive in the Championship this season if Adebayo and Morris were both indisposed? Things currently look a bit shaky re cover in the striker department.
Why are we looking at bring a young player in when we don’t give our youth a chance and have to move away. We sell a player who has not even played in the first team so what do this other team see in our player that we don’t see as he can’t get a game with us don’t understand . Coyh
