This Saturday, with an early 12:30 kick-off, so no late Friday night boozing, Luton welcome Watford to Kenilworth Road, for an EFL Championship fixture.

Now some may say that, perhaps, our coverage of the game may have started a little early, but I recognise the magnitude of this game and it deserves the big build up.

The reciprocating fixture, back on 23rd October 2022, ended disastrously for the Hatters with the support having to cope with the worst performance / result of the season, a 4-0 defeat.

At the time, Watford were deemed to be candidates for promotion but a downturn in form now sees them languishing in 10th place in the table, but having mentioned that statistic, they remain only 5 points off a play-off place, but 9 points behind Luton.

When it comes to recent form, the last 5 games, Luton have the edge with their record reading DWWWD, meaning Luton have accumulated 11 points out of the last 15 available.

Watford, on the other hand, have a record that reads LDLWD, meaning Watford have accumulated just 5 points out of the last 15 available.

Of course, they say form doesn’t matter when it comes to a derby fixture, but is the edge with Luton?

The squad will be desperate to get revenge for that aforementioned loss and Rob Edwards would, I reckon, love to get a result against the club that sacked him back in September of the current season.

It’s going to be one hell of an occasion, I can feel it in my bones!

Have you seen who the f**.All have appointed as ref don’t get your hopes up yet mate for an entertaining game.

Josh Smith is the worst ref I’ve seen at Luton for a long time. We should have known the scum FA would do this. Coins and pub darts out?

Hi Chris , I haven’t been on for a while , I hope your all well .Ye said to my nephew over a week ago , the one ref I I don’t want is Josh Smith, mind you there all shocking. Of course we are capable of winning but the refs are our biggest enemy at the moment , but I’m not optimistic , best we will get is a draw I think , sorry for the pessimism but we don’t have any luck against those lot , I hope I’m wrong .

Hi Eddie, I just meant I don’t except to see a thriller.but I do expect us to beat the scum as it’s our most important game of the season an I include possible play offs.

    • Jamis says:

Our head to head is far superior mate. The yellow belly bastards are in for a deserved hiding.

  • Eddie says:

Hi mate , ye I know you did and I totally agree it won’t be a thriller and Josh Smith will make sure of that , no doubt he will give everything to them , that’s what worries me , if we are say 1 up he could give a dodgy decisionlate and ruin it for us , we need to get that 2nd goal as a cushion . We have a great defence and we are solid , but need to kill teams off .

Josh Smith is the worst of a poor bunch. Soon as I saw he was ref i had a bad feeling. The man is a moron who shouldn’t be allowed to ref in the 5th tier.

  • Eddie says:

I meant to add yesterday that Horvarh worries me in these big games ,a little bit like Sluga used to be , ok people can point out clean sheets we’ve had this season and he has made a few good saves , but that stat is down to the excellent defence in front of him , just hope he doesn’t throw any howlers tomorrow , it’s bad enough having Smith officiating the game and then for that to happen .We certainly need to score 1st , as I think Watford will find it hard to break us down after that , a nice 2 -0 lead with 10 mins to go would calm the nerves a bit
