Luton – It Is A Strange Old Game

At half time, against Sheffield Wednesday, who would have believed what was to come?

As I may have touched on, in a previous article – a-game-of-two-different-halves – everyone would have been a little stunned, around 15:45 on Saturday, with the Hatters trailing 2-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday, a side who were languishing in the relegation places in the Championship table and who had an awful away record.

In fact, the state of affairs was so perilous, after that awful first half, I wonder how many of those 75% who, via our poll, had, ahead of the game predicted a Luton win still felt the same way?

But, the remarkable comeback, courtesy of goals from Naismith, Tunnicliffe and Adebayo, not only saw the Hatters pull off an unlikely, considering the scenario at half-time, win but the performance was also sufficient to propel two of our players into the Championship Team of the Weekend, with those who are involved in such matters, choosing the following XI:

• Iversen (Preston North End)
Naismith (Luton Town)
• Hanley (Norwich City)
• Morrison (Reading)
• Colin (Birmingham City)
• Danjuma (Bournemouth)
• Potts (Preston North End)
• Semedo (Reading)
• Buendia (Norwich City)
Adebayo (Luton Town)
• Evans (Preston North End)

Our congratulations go to Kal and Elijah but, in your opinion, were they the best two Luton players on show on Saturday?
